Biden, the farce continues: if he cannot be a candidate, how serve as president?

Without any mention of his health status, Joe Biden has announced that he will not accept the nomination for a second term in the White House. But let’s face it: if he is unable to be a candidate, how can he be able to be president of the United States of America and decide much of the fate of the world for another 182 days? And again, considering that he is in blatantly unfit condition to play the role of Commander in Chief since he was elected, how will Democrats and the mainstream media justify three and a half years of mystifying reality in the face of the disasters in domestic politics and on the international stage?

A huge political question, in the face of which withdrawal from the electoral race is the least important detail. Obviously, given their direct implication, the mainstream media will shift all attention to the nomination, in a clumsy attempt to cover up years of lies peddled to their readers by recounting a veritable undercurrent in which Biden was a good president and Trump is systematically misrepresented as well as described as absolute evil. But now back to the chronicle of the retreat.

Biden’s statements

In the memo released few hours ago, the current president tried to paint a rosy picture of his tenure, boasting of a strong economy, historic investments, reduced drug costs, and expanded health care. He mentioned veterans’ care, the gun safety bill, the nomination of the first African-American woman to the Supreme Court, and climate legislation.

Biden then stated that he would focus on his presidential duties for the remainder of his term, saying he made this decision in the interest of the party and the country. Finally, he gave his full support to Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

It all sounds like a desperate attempt to rehabilitate what is now consigned to the history books as the most disastrous U.S. Administration ever.

Trump’s reaction

For his part, Donald Trump immediately took the opportunity to state that “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for president and certainly not fit to serve – and never has been! He achieved the position of president only through lies, fake news and never leaving his basement. Now look at what he has done to our country, with millions of people crossing our borders completely uncontrolled and unverified, many from prisons and mental health hospitals and a record number of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will quickly undo all the damage he has caused.”

A disaster child of the Democratic establishment’s pact

In my book, I described the rot that lurks within the Democrats, dominated by three families-Clinton, Obama and Biden. This pact, born between 2007 and 2008, has held Democratic politics hostage for years. Hillary Clinton, the 2008 frontrunner, was unexpectedly defeated in the primaries by Obama, who then received her endorsement in anticipation of the alternation between the two in 2016 but, as we know, Trump blew their plan by winning against all odds.

The elder Biden, chosen as vice president so as not to overshadow Obama or hinder Hillary, became president only because the Democrats had no better alternatives in 2020. Let us remember that during that very campaign Trump nicknamed him Sleepy Joe because even then the signs of his inadequacy were obvious to anyone, and whether he could really have taken 81 million votes under those conditions remains at least some perplexity.

Using the same criterion, in turn Biden chose the mediocre Kamala Harris as his deputy, despite the paltry 1 percent he got in the Democratic primaries: the facts say that her impact in the White House was in many ways embarrassing and, together with Biden’s inadequacy, represents an unapologetic snapshot of the moribund Democratic leadership.

The end of the great Democratic deception

Biden’s withdrawal brings down the giant house of cards built by the Democrats and the mainstream media over the past four years. They concealed his complicity in shady dealings with his son Hunter and blatantly lied about his mental and physical state, painting him as a very good president until three weeks ago, only to fall from the clouds after the disastrous debate with Trump. Every poll certifies that Joe Biden is perceived by most Americans-including Democrats-as the worst president ever, and Kamala Harris has stood by his side in every decision.

For the past three and a half years, she has co-signed with him the failed immigration policies, the eco-follies that have driven up the cost of housing and food, not to mention the insane woke drift in schools and institutions. Kamala Harris is co-responsible for all these failures and has lied for nearly four years about Biden’s mental capacity, imposing on the United States a president who is incapable of doing his job.

Final consideration

Biden’s retirement opens a new chapter for the Democrats, but the real question remains: if he is incapable of being a candidate, how can he be capable of being president of the United States? The Democrats will be held accountable for this “big lie” to the Trump-Vance duo between now and Nov. 5.

Right now, anything could happen. Congress could invoke the 25th Amendment to completely remove the embarrassing Biden from the scene by dismissing him as president. At that point, the nomination for Kamala Harris would be virtually automatic, perhaps in an all-female ticket with Hillary Clinton: I can already see Democrats and mainstream media all united, as if nothing was wrong, to the cry “women will save the world from that monster Trump.”

Thank goodness, though, democracy means that voters decide, not big media, not corporations, not judges or even the “democratic” party by vested right; judging by the way things have turned out, they had better start getting over it.
